Born in Lima, Peru in the Fall of 84’ November 18, and raised in Orlando, Florida, Kathy Picos isn’t your everyday average influencer as she is a mother, wife, and also a growing business owner who currently resides in Miami.
Kathy has always been an entrepreneur and continues to own multiple businesses while balancing life as a mother and a wife to her husband who she looks up to. Kathy’s social media presence kicked off in 2015 and told us she told us how she began to grow as an influencer over the past 2 years with her Instagram account now having a following of 1 Million. We were excited to have this interview with Kathy and now let’s dive a little deeper into who she really is.
As well as being a mother and married to her husband who Kathy adores dearly, she owns multiple businesses that she works on a day-to-day basis and which she co-manages with two other partners. Kathy tells us her current focus is her influencer project as she is planning on growing and working with multiple brands. Kathy has previously collaborated with the likes of @arroganz_fashion, @diosafit, @beachbunny_swimwear, @fashionnova, and many more brands.
Kathy tells us what makes her unique is when it comes to being an influencer, she likes to be straightforward, honest and loves to work with companies and brands that are true to what they stand for and not provide false services to her followers.
Kathy tells us in the interview that the reason behind her motivation is her husband and her son. Kathy adores her husband’s integrity as he strives to always do what is right. She mentions that after the birth of her child, she was inspired to become a better person and this motivated her to work even harder in order to give him the life that he deserves. Kathy goes on to tell us that the challenges and struggles she had in the past have made her who she is today and that she wouldn’t have it any other way, as it brought the opportunities and successes that made her the woman she is today.
She looks at every day as a fresh start. Kathy tells us she loves to read and would recommend ‘In the Company of Women: Inspiration and Advice from over 100 Makers, Artists and Entrepreneurs’, to anyone wanting to start their own business.
Besides being a multi-business owner, Kathy is also passionate about travel, gastronomy, fitness, and lifestyle. Kathy tells us her favorite travel destination is the Grand Velas Riviera Maya, as that is where she fell in love with her husband. Kathy is also a fitness enthusiast and likes to take care of herself. You can see how much she strives to keep her health in check from her figure which she carefully maintains even at the age of 37.
She is a foodie and can be found taking snapshots of her favorite food at restaurants like Tur Kitchen as well as other restaurants in Miami. As for the future, Kathy hopes to have more collaborations with local restaurants as she has a fond love for food as well as the massive impact the pandemic has had over them., She hopes to provide support and help their businesses be known. She mentions she is working on big projects and wants them to be a surprise once she’s ready to let us know.
To end the interview, we asked Kathy if she could tell her followers one thing: what would it be?
She said some words to live by are: “be true to yourself and as long as your intentions are good, do what makes you happy.”
